The variety of white flowering plants has no end. They can be small border plants, tall plants for the back of a bed or clumping type to catch the eye of the passerby. White plants are nice when planted in a spot where you can see them after dark. With some having a nice fragrance having them near a door or around your patio is almost a necessity.
Nothing beats walking out your door when the sun is down and the humid air hangs around you like a soft blanket than being able to enjoy the sweet scent of a plant greet you.
Some white flowering plants that are easily found in most garden centers are Lantana that is a bush like plant, mums that come in a variety of flowers from snowball to daisy form while Veronica or Speedwell flowers come in spike form. Annual plants like Vinca and Portulaca come in a beautiful white and are nice in containers or as border plants.
If you are looking for a shrub with a white bloom the Lace Cap Hydrangea is a winner and there is a white snowball form as well. Never forget lilies and iris for white blooms. The little Zephyr lily (Rain Lily) comes up early in the season and is a good complement for a tall white bearded iris.
