'White House Down' coming to theaters this summer (Video)

Coming this June Sony Pictures will be out with White House Down starring Channing Tatum and Jamie Foxx. In the movie, Capitol Policeman John Cale (Channing Tatum) has just been denied his dream job with the Secret Service of protecting President James Sawyer (Jamie Foxx). Not wanting to let down his little girl with the news, he takes her on a tour of the White House, when the complex is overtaken by a heavily armed terrorist paramilitary group. Now, with the nation’s government falling into chaos and time running out, it's up to Cale to save the president, his daughter, and the country.

The movie also includes actor Jason Clarke who recently appeared in Zero Dark Thirty. Clarke will play the role of Stenz, the lead terrorist in the White House takeover. Other notables in the film are James Woods, Richard Jenkins and Maggie Gyllenhaal. Gyllenhaal and Woods are both Secret Service Agents while Richard Jenkins is the Speaker of the House.

Directed by Roland Emmerich, White House Down, is an action movie as with his Independence Day. You will remember the White House was blown into oblivion in the movie Independence Day. Seems like the Secret Service should be checking more into Emmerich as he seems to gravitate toward destruction of the White House.
