In the process of going after Senator Pratt, Peter gets into an accident, sidelining him for a good bit of the episode. First of all, it’s a little strange that there isn’t some sort of investigation into what happened. Elizabeth says low brake fluid, but also says that the FBI maintains the cars. Somewhere Peter’s car was sabotaged, and yet no one is seen looking into what happened. This just seems like a big thing to overlook. Other than that, Peter’s hospitalization allows the writers to let Diana step up. It’s great to see her take on more of a role, and her scenes with Neal are fantastic. They’ve got an interesting partnership. Did you like seeing Diana and Neal working together?
Trust has always been an issue for Peter and Neal. It’s been the cornerstone issue for many seasons, if not the entire show. The writers have brought back the trust issues, but in a different way. Elizabeth asks Neal to lie and keep things from Peter, in order to protect him. As great as it is to see this kind of twist, the lying to each other and not trusting each other thing is getting a little old. Maybe the writers will handle it in a new light, making it so this isn’t something that viewers have seen before. What do you think of Elizabeth making Neal lie to Peter? Mozzie knows a key master. He wouldn’t be Mozzie if he didn’t. To make this crazy venture even more exciting, Mozzie teams up with Jones. This partnership is fantastic. Mozzie interacting with Peter is entertaining enough, and so seeing him alone with Jones is even better. It’s nice that Jones isn’t fooled by Mozzie’s sleight of hand. He is FBI after all, and he has been around Neal and Mozzie quite a few times. Did you enjoy Jones and Mozzie partnering up?
