It's going to be a big weekend for food fans, particularly those who crave the tiny five-holed burger-and-bun pairings made famous by a well-known Kansas-based chain.
The Las Vegas Foodie Fest will return to the Silverton Casino Hotel starting tomorrow at 4 p.m. with a sprawling spread for any palate, picky or otherwise.
This is a gathering you'll want to sink your teeth into with more than 30 food trucks and vendors, entertainment, carnival rides and games for all ages. The famous White Castle will again set up a booth, but get their early. In fact, bring a White Castle posse who can take turns waiting in a line that can take anywhere from 30 minutes to a few hours as people come specifically to the Foodie Fest to get a box or two of WC's specialties. You can peruse the fest's food truck layout while a friend takes their turn in the snaking White Castle lines, one to pay and one to pick up.
Famous food trucks that will park for business include The Buttermilk Truck, BACONMANia, White Rabbit, Vizzi Truck, Devilicious, Fukuburger, Jogasaki Burrito, Fist of Fusion and Fluff Ice.
Tickets for the fest that runs through Sunday start at $5 and go up to $50 for the VIP treatment. Valet is available. A portion of the proceeds goes to benefit Epicurean Charitable Foundation of Las Vegas.
