On February 2, 2013 at approximately 11:15 p.m., Paul was walking his dog at a nearby park in Oshawa when he decided to experiment with his camera.
“The conditions of the sky were quite clear,” said. After about 30 seconds of filming, I noticed this white/blue light – roundish in shape. It streak by very fast directly overhead from south to north.”
Paul said the sighting only lasted three to four seconds at the most.
“Then it just faded out after passing me north.” But “here’s the kicker,” he added. “Astonishingly, it moved directly horizontal and quite low, maybe a couple of hundred feet at most! It was a sudden shocking spectacle for me to observe. The characteristics would be just like a meteor yet so low and it moved horizontally.
Paul was stupefied.
“I do wonder what’s really up in presence above us if one looks.”
As a constant sky watcher, this reporter has also seen some strange things lately. On the night of January 30, 2013, I saw two red lights a distance apart and both were zigzagging in night the sky. One then shot off toward the escarpment and the other quickly followed. I was watching them so I did not see another very large red light coming in from behind me. I just caught it as it passed in front of my eyes and over the roof headed in the same direction. There was no sound from any of them.
Then a few nights later, some more strange objects were seen, one of which raced across the sky faster than a jet. There is definitely something going on up there, as Paul suspects.
Paul has had many UFO sightings over the years, including a white translucent cigar-shaped anomaly that he saw over Lake Ontario on January 24, 2012.
