Forrest Whitaker has gotten an apology from a deli employee who accused him of shoplifting, and even went so far as to frisk the Oscar winning actor, The NY Daily News reported on Feb. 19.
According to the report, Forrest Whitaker was stopped leaving the Milano Market, and frisked by an employee around lunchtime on Friday. Whitaker’s publicist spoke out about the incident, which was confirmed by the store employee.
Forrest Whitaker was later given an apology by the employee for his mistake. "It was around lunchtime and the store was packed. We were like 50 people deep. The person walked in and out really quickly so our person just made a mistake. The employee apologized immediately. It was an honest mistake,” said an employee of the deli.
