WhiskyFest Coming to San Francisco

The 3rd Annual WhiskyFest San Francisco, October 16th

Attention all whisky lovers: America’s largest whisky celebration is coming to San Francisco. The 3rd annual WhiskyFest will be in San Francisco on October 16th at the San Francisco Marriott, from 6:30 to 9:30 pm. This event will be featuring over 70 pouring booths, allowing attendees to sample over 200 whiskies (single malt and blended scotch, Irish, bourbon, Tennessee, Japanese, Welsh and Canadian), while being able to personally chat with master distillers and distillery representatives. In addition to all the various whiskies, there will be a few vodkas and rums available for tasting as well.

The focus of WhiskyFest is education. Attendees will learn how to properly identify, sniff, swirl and taste the spirit while learning all about how the different brands of whiskey are made and aged. Attendees will also have a chance to attend one of the many seminars being taught during the event by whiskey experts and master blenders. Seating for the seminars are first come, first served. In addition to the tasting and education, there will also be a gourmet buffet with plenty of coffee, tea, water and soda to rejuvenate taste buds.

Early Bird tickets are $95 for regular admission and $140 for VIP. Early Bird pricing is only available until September 30th. After September 30th, prices for regular admission tickets will be $105 and $150 for VIP.

All regular admission attendees will receive a Glencairn commemorative crystal nosing glass to use for the tasting at the event (and to take home), a one-year subscription to Malt Advocate magazine, an event program with a tasting notes section, admittance to all of the seminars and access to the gourmet buffet and beverages during the entire event.

In addition to everything a regular admission attendee receives, VIP attendees also receive a canvas tote bag (to carry all their swag) and admission to WhiskyFest one hour earlier, allowing VIP attendees to taste 23 additional, older and more special whiskies that wont be available for the regular admission attendees to taste. There are a limited number of VIP tickets being sold which allows VIP ticket holders more access to the sampling booths and the people running them.

WhiskyFest will also feature a charity whisky table that will include a collection of six rare whisky bottles. For a small donation, attendees will be able to taste from one of these rare whisky bottles. 100% of the proceeds from the charity table will go to Meals On Wheels San Francisco.
