Whip up a quick peach dessert that everyone will love

If you crave a luscious, homemade dessert, but don’t have the time or energy to spend time baking, there is certainly no need to fret or go without. You can still whip up a fantastic and relatively healthy dessert that will satisfy everyone and every craving. Whether you want crunchy, creamy or fruity, this heavenly peach concoction will not disappoint.

For this dessert, a creamy sour cream sauce, lightly accented with vanilla, lemon zest and spices adorns, sweet peaches. Since fresh peaches are not readily available yet, canned peaches will work well.

Top it all off with crunchy granola. Use the store bought variety if you’re extra short on time or make an easy homemade version that can be made in advance and then stored in an airtight container until ready to use.

Believe it or not, soon enough you’ll be able to get fresh peaches at Broken Arrow’s fifth annual farmers’ market. It will be opening for the season on April 20. Be sure to join in on the fun and fantastic produce and other items that are available each year at 418 South Main in beautiful downtown Broken Arrow.
