Some days we may be looking for a refreshing drink that is light and still healthy. Slushies made from frozen berries adds an additional serving of fruit to your diet that is really quick and easy to prepare. It’s a great way to get a boost of additional nutrients that is healthy, refreshing and full of flavor.
- ¼ cup of frozen berries
- 8 ounces of orange juice
- 1 handful of ice cubes
- Place all ingredients into the blender and process until smooth.
- Pour into a tall glass, add a straw and serve.
- Instead of the usual slushies you are used to create one that is thicker and more filling simply by adding a small container of low-fat strawberry yogurt in the blender with the rest of the ingredients and mix it up.
