While Charlie Sheen tours, Brooke Mueller lands 'Extra' gig

Charlie Sheen is not the only one with a high-profile new gig -- his soon-to-be ex Brooke Mueller is heading to the same medium (television) that Charlie just left.

A source tells E! News that beginning next week, Brooke (who also has a reality TV gig coming up with Paris Hilton) is going to be working for "Extra" as a celebrity correspondent. This means she will be interviewing stars once a week, and it looks to be a nice sort of diversion from being in the tabloids herself.

However, this was not a gig that Muller was excited to take at first:

"She was working for Extra before she even met Charlie. They asked her to come back and at first she said no, but then decided it could be fun. She will be doing on-location celebrity interviews about once a week while the kids are napping."

Sheen, meanwhile, is currently celebrating the fact that his second night in his "Violent Torpedo of Truth" tour was a hit -- meaning that he does not have to run for the hills just yet.
