Which would make a better president: Clinton or Cuomo?

Cuomo and Clinton
Cuomo and Clinton

Clinton would make a better President at this time in history. Let us not slip into the trap of failing to do due diligence on all possible candidates for president in Election 2016. The “go-to” candidate for Democrats is the seemingly unbeatable Hillary Clinton. Election 2016 should be the year of the woman. Women need to obtain the top leadership position in the United States government where they have been disenfranchised far too long. Women should be at least even in the representation in both the Senate and the House also. So, go women, take charge and turn the tide of history.

Having said that, who else are available with superior credentials? Cross tired professional politician Joe Biden from the list. We have had enough of that.

Consider New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo. Peter Sullivan at The Hill says Cuomo is positioned as a backstop to Clinton in case she doesn’t run. He could be a Vice Presidential candidate, but this analyst likes Mark Warner better. Let’s compare.

Cuomo is old school Democrat, albeit “blueblood Democrat.” However, Mark Warner has broader appeal. Mark Warner was a successful business executive. His law school credentials are from better schools and he is smarter with less baggage.

“Cuomo quietly prepares for 2016
By Peter Sullivan

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) is quietly positioning himself as a social liberal and fiscal centrist as he awaits Hillary Clinton’s decision on whether to run for president.

Experts say it is almost certain Cuomo would not challenge Clinton for the presidency in 2016. She would sap Cuomo’s base of support in New York, and Cuomo views Bill Clinton — who gave him his start in politics with an appointment as secretary of Housing and Urban Development — as a mentor.

But if Clinton does not run, Cuomo’s legislative record, as well his perch over the media and financial capital of the country, could make him a strong contender for the nomination.”
