Which Chicago spot ranks second in the nation as most popular Irish bar?

You can relive St. Patrick’s Day any day of the year, if you find the right bar. Just as festivities across the country subside, The Huffington Post released the top five most popular Irish bars in the nation. Butch McGuire’s, the iconic Gold Coast bar, was second on the list.

The mobile app maker Skobbler collected data from its GPS Navigation 2 app to determine the top five most searched for Irish pubs on St. Patrick’s Day. The data came from thousands of searches from people using the app last year.

Butch McGuire’s is known for a St. Patrick’s Day weekend celebration of epic proportions, and this year was no different. The pub celebrated with 40,000 green and white lights, an Irish brunch buffet and plenty of Guinness and Jameson to go around.

Chicago’s favorite Irish bar shares the list with O’Neill’s in New York City, Fado in Philadelphia, Dillon’s in Los Angeles, and Rock & Reilly’s also in Los Angeles.
