If you’re new to scrapbooking, new to the Boston area, or looking for new places to find scrapbooking supplies and classes, this is your one stop list for the closest resources to you. There are essentially three different types of stores where you can find scrapbooking tools and materials: small, local scrapbooking stores, craft superstores, and big box stores.
Local Scrapbook Stores
Local scrapbook stores, or LSSs, are small focused businesses that cater directly to the scrapbooker, stamper, or paper crafter. Unfortunately, many Boston area scrapbooking stores have closed over the last few years, leaving them few and far between, but the remaining stores, found listed below, are some absolute gems.
Absolutely Everything – Topsfield, MA
Colorful Creations – Hyannis, MA
Ink About It – Westford, MA
Right at Home Scrapbooking – Attleboro, MA
The Crop Shop - Rockland, MA
Craft Super Stores
Craft super stores are regional or national chains that cater to a wide variety of crafters, but tend to stock a good supply of scrapbooking supplies and tools. Some of these stores may offer scrapbooking and paper crafting classes of various levels. In the Boston area, the craft super stores include JoAnn Fabrics and Crafts, Michaels, and ACMoore.
Big Box Stores
There are a few big box stores that carry some scrapbooking supplies and tools. The selection is generally limited, and consists of large brands and packaged products. There is little to no support and no classes are available. Boston area big box stores that carry scrapbooking supplies include Target and Walmart, and to a lesser degree, office supply stores such as Staples or Office Max.
No matter where you are in the Boston area, you can get your scrapbooking supplies easily. If you're interested in a specific class or boutique products, you may have to travel a bit, but there are stores in the area that will have what you need.
