Where to see Santa in St. Louis: Christmas 2013

If getting your kids pictures taken with Santa is part of your Christmas tradition, there are many locations offering Santa photos in St. Louis, St. Charles, and surrounding areas. Whether you just want a photo op with your own camera or you want professional pictures, there are a wide variety of places where you can get photos with Santa this year.

The list below should help you find the perfect Santa venue for your family.

Chesterfield

The Butterfly House

The Butterfly House is hosting Supper With Santa on December 7, 8, 14 and 16 from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m. Participants will enjoy a pasta dinner, cookie decorating, hot cocoa, crafts, a photo booth, and pictures with Santa. The cost is $15 for adults, $20 for children (ages 2–12), $13 for Garden members and $18 for Garden members' children (ages 2–12). Ages 1 & under are free.
Reservations are required. Register online.

Chesterfield Mall

Children can get professional photos with Santa at the following times:

Monday - Saturday:

10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.
Santa takes his break from 1:00-2:00 p.m. and 5:00-6:00 p.m.

Sunday:
11:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
Santa’s break is from 2:00-3:00 p.m.

Christmas Eve:
10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.

Santa’s photo booth will be located in Dillard’s Court.

The American Girl Store

Girls ages 3 and up will enjoy photos ops with Santa and lunch at the Bistro on either Saturday, December 8 or Saturday, December 15 at 9:30 a.m. Parents should bring their own cameras. Tickets are $19 and advance registration is required. For more information, call 877-247-5223.

Des Peres

On Saturday, December 7, kids can see Santa during the Cookies With Claus event at The Lodge Des Peres. Parents should bring their own cameras to capture the kids’ visits with Santa. Each child will receive a free cookie while supplies last. Santa will be on hand in The Lodge lobby from 9:00 a.m. through noon.

Florissant - residents only

Florissant residents have a chance to see Santa at the Nature Lodge in Sunset Park from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 14. Light refreshments will be provided, but parents should bring their own cameras for photos with Santa. Children can also receive a personal letter from Santa if they bring a self-addressed, stamped envelope along with their letter to Santa.

Residents must obtain tickets for this event by visiting the James J Eagan or John F Kennedy Community Centers. For more information, call 314-921-5700.

Forest Park St. Louis

The St. Louis Zoo is hosting Breakfast with Santa throughout December. Only the December 21 and 22 dates are still available at this time. The event is available at either 9:00 or 11:00 a.m. on each day. Participants will enjoy a breakfast buffet of scrambled eggs, French toast sticks, breakfast potatoes, bacon, sausage, fruit and coffee cake. During the event, holiday costumed characters will visit with children, leading up to Santa’s arrival. Parents may bring their own cameras for their children’s visit with Santa.

Registration is required by calling 314-646-4897. The cost for zoo members is $18 for children ages 2-12 and $20 for adults. Non-zoo members will attend for $20 for children ages 2 through 12 and $22 for adults.

Frontenac

Plaza Frontenac

Santa will be available for photos at the following times:

Through December 7:

10:00 a.m. through 7:00 p.m.
Santa takes a break from 3:00-4:00 p.m.

December 9 - 21:

Monday through Saturday:

10:00 a.m. through 8:00 p.m.
Santa takes a break from 3:00-4:00 p.m.

Sunday:

Noon through 5:00 p.m.
Santa takes a break from 2:30-3:30 p.m.

December 22 and 23:

10:00 a.m. through 8:00 p.m.
Santa takes breaks from 1:00-1:45 p.m. and 5:00-5:45 p.m.

Christmas Eve:

10:00 a.m. through 4:00 p.m.
Santa takes breaks from 1:00-1:45 p.m.

Godfrey, Illinois

Godfrey’s Snowflake Festival takes place at Glazebrook Park on Friday, December 6 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. This free events features holiday lights, marshmallow and chestnut roasting, hot cocoa, snacks, carriage rides, and pictures with Santa. For more information, call 618-466-1483.

Hazelwood

On Saturday, December 7th, children can get photos with Santa from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm. at the Hazelwood Community Center. The cost is fees are $2 for residents and $3 for non-residents.

St. Louis Outlet Mall

Santa will be on hand for photos at the following times:

Through Christmas Eve:

Monday through Thursday:
11:00 a.m. through 8:00 p.m.

Friday and Saturday:
10:00 a.m. through 9:00 p.m.

Sunday:
11:00 a.m. through 6:00 p.m.

Kirkwood

Kirkwood Ice Arena

If you’re looking for a unique event, go skating with Santa at the Kirkwood Ice Arena on Saturday, December 14. Santa will be on hand from 1:30 to 4:00 p.m. as part of visitors’ regular admission. For more information, call 314-822-5855.

The Museum of Transportation

The Museum of Transportation will also host visits with Santa at the Wabash Caboose. On Saturdays, December 7, 14, and 21, kids can see Santa from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. On Sundays, December 8, 15, and 22, kids can visit Santa from noon until 3:00 p.m. Visits with Santa are included in the regular admission price. Parents should bring their own cameras.

The Magic House

Another popular location in Kirkwood, The Magic House, will feature Breakfast with Santa on Sundays, December 8 and 15. On December 8, an 8:00 a.m. and 9:45 start time are available, as well as a 5:00 p.m. start time. On December 15, start times are 8:00 a.m., 9:45 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. At this silly event, kids can catch their own pancake breakfast as pancakes are flipped through the air by Chris Cakes Catering’s master chef. Kids will also get to make a holiday craft and enjoy all the regular exhibits of The Magic House. The cost is $20 for non-members and $15 for members. Register online.

Lake St. Louis

The Meadows at Lake St. Louis will host Santa on the first level Center Court through Christmas Eve.

Get a complimentary 4 X 6 photo and also bring your own camera for additional photos at the following times:

Saturday and Sunday, December 7 and 8:
12:00-4:00 p.m.

Saturday and Sunday, December 14 and15:
12:00-4:00 p.m.

Saturday, Sunday & Monday, December 21-23:
12:00-4:00 p.m.

Tuesday, December 24:
11:00-2:00 p.m.

Maryland Heights - Westport

Kids can get a free photo with Santa as well as enjoy face painting, balloons, music, cookies and hot cocoa from 10:00 a.m. through noon on Saturday, December 7. Santa will be located on the second level of the indoor mall.

Richmond Heights

St. Louis Galleria

Santa will be available for professional photos at the following times:

Monday through Saturday:
10:00 a.m. through 8:00 p.m.
Santa’s Reindeer Feeding break times are from 1:00-2:00 p.m. and 5:00-6:00 p.m.

Sunday

11:00 a.m. through 6:00 p.m.
Santa’s Reindeer Feeding break time is from 2:30-3:30 p.m.

Christmas Eve

9:00 a.m. through 6:00 p.m.
Santa’s Reindeer Feeding break time is from 12:30-1:30 p.m.

South County

South County Center

Get professional photos with Santa, located on the lower level below Starbucks, at the following times:

Monday - Saturday:

10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.
Santa takes his break from 1:00-2:00 p.m. and 5:00-6:00 p.m.

Sunday:
11:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
Santa’s break is from 2:00-3:00 p.m.

Christmas Eve:
10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.

St. Charles

Bass Pro Shop

Children can receive a free photo with Santa at the following times:

December 6:
3:00-8:00 p.m.

December 7:
10:00 a.m. through 8:00 p.m.

December 8:
10:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m.

December 9 through 24*:

Monday-Saturday:
10:00 a.m. through 8:00 p.m.

Sunday:
10:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m.

December 24:
10:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m.

Missouri Botanical Garden

The Missouri Botanical Garden is hosting Supper With Santa on Saturday and Sunday, December 7 and 8, and 14 and 15. Participants will enjoy a spaghetti dinner, face painting, ornament making, story time, butterfly hunt, cookies, hot chocolate, and of course, pictures with Santa.

The cost is:
$18 per member child, $13 per adult member
$20 per non-member child, $15 per non-member adult
Price is per person. Ages 1 and under are free.

St. Peters

St. Peters Rec-Plex

Register by December 7 to enjoy Breakfast with Santa on Saturday, December 14 at St. Peters Rec-Plex South. Kids ages 2 through 8 will receive a continental breakfast, crafts, songs, and of course, the chance to tell Santa what they’re wishing for. The breakfast will take place from 8:30 through 10:30 a.m. on the morning of the 14th. Parents are welcome to bring their own cameras to capture the fun.

The cost is $11 per child and $5.50 per adult. To register, call 636-939-2386 ext. 1400, or go online to www.stpetersmo.net/rec-connect. You may also register at the St. Peters Rec-Plex at 5200 Mexico Rd.

Mid Rivers Mall

Santa will be in the Center Court and offering several photo packages, at the following times:

Monday - Saturday:

10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.
Santa takes his break from 1:00-2:00 p.m. and 5:00-6:00 p.m.

Sunday:
11:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
Santa’s break is from 2:00-3:00 p.m.

Christmas Eve:
10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.

Webster Groves

The city of Webster Groves will host Cookies With Claus at the Webster Groves Recreation Complex on Sunday, December 15 from 10:00 through 11:30 a.m. Kids ages 2 through 10 will enjoy cookies, crafts, and visiting with Santa. Parents should bring their own cameras for photos. The cost is $4 for children, $5 for adults and all must be registered in advance. Call 314-963-5600 for more information or to register.

West County

Chick-fil-A

Santa will visit the Chick-fil-A in West County Center on Saturday, December 7 from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Children will also have the opportunity to meet members of Nick Jr.’s Team UmiZoomi. Parents should bring their own cameras.

West County Center

Santa will be on hand in the North Court (near Macy’s) through Christmas Eve for professional holiday photos. Photo hours are as follows:

Monday - Saturday: 10 :00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
(Breaks: 1:00-2:00 p.m. and 5:00-6:00 p.m.)

Sunday: 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
(Break: 2 :00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.)

Christmas Eve: 10 :00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
