The 4th of July is a great time for watching fireworks. We're very fortunate in San Diego to have so many places throughout the county where you can see the fireworks and celebrate our nation's independence.

Below you'll find a list of all July 4 fireworks in San Diego county. All events are free unless otherwise noted.

Note: Events are subject to change and cancellation.

San Diego

Annual Big Bay Boom July 4 Fireworks Show
Location: Multiple Locations along San Diego Bay
Time: 9:00 PM
Fireworks will be launched from four barges on the San Diego Bay. You can view the fireworks from Shelter Island, Harbor Island, North Embarcadero, Seaport Village/South Embarcadero, and the Coronado Ferry Landing. Bring your chairs. Listen in on the "WALRUS" 105.7FM radio for accompanying music. Free shuttle service to Shelter Island and Harbor Island are available. SeaWorld San Diego
SeaWorld San Diego
Time: 10:10 PM
Head to SeaWorld and end the day with a firework show, "Sea to Shining Sea 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular", set to patriotic music. Park closes at 11:00 pm. Park admission required.

Ocean Beach
Location: Ocean Beach Pier at the end of Newport Ave.
Time: 9:00 PM

4th of July Celebration in Coronado
Glorietta Bay
Time: 9:00 PM
It's an all-day affair in Coronado. The day begins at Tidelands Park with a run/walk at 7 a.m., followed by the Art in the Park art show at 8 a.m. For those who prefer to hit the water, the annual rough-water swim at Central Beach begins at 9 a.m. The Orange Avenue parade begins at 10 a.m. Kicking off the evening at Spreckels Park, the Coronado Community Concert Band takes the stage at 4 p.m. More information about the festivities can be found here.

North County Coastal

San Diego County Fair 4th of July Celebration
Del Mar Fairgrounds, 2260 Jimmy Durante Boulevard, Del Mar

The Navy Band Southwest's firework show begins at 9 p.m.

La Jolla Cove 4th of July
Ellen Browning Scripps Park, 1180 Coast Boulevard, La Jolla

Red, White and BOOM!
LEGOLAND California, One Legoland Drive, Carlsbad
Time: 8:30 PM
Fireworks set to patriotic music. Park admission is required.

2014 Ken Grody Ford 4th of July Beach Bash at Camp Pendleton
Location: Del Mar Beach on Camp Pendleton
This is a full day event with live music ending with fireworks. Festivities begin at 10 a.m. You could win a 2014 Ford Focus STi, a 2014 Harley Davidson, or one of 7 cash prizes.

North County Inland

Independence Day Celebration
Grape Day Park, 321 North Broadway, Escondido
Time: 9:00 PM
Come spend the day at Grape Day Park. The party starts at 4 p.m. with activities for everyone to enjoy. The 1st Marine Division Band will perform. Admission is free. BBQs, alcohol, pets, tents, and tall chairs are prohibited. For more information visit the Visit Escondido website.

Grand Tradition July 4th
Location: Grand Tradition, 1602 South Mission Road, Fallbrook
Time: 8:45 PM
Fundraiser to support the Fallbrook Beautification Alliance. You can enjoy games, dancing, food and beverages, Rubber Raft Regatta Race, and a Rubber Duck Race. Tickets are $20 (advance purchase) and $25 (at the gate). Children 11 and under are free. VIP tickets include VIP firework seating, dinner, beer, wine, and entertainment are $900 for a table of six, $1,200 for a table of eight, and $1,500 for a table of 10. Mira Mesa Fourth of July Celebration
Mira Mesa Community Park, Mira Mesa Boulevard and New Salem Street, Mira Mesa

Old Fashioned 4th of July and Fireworks Celebration
Old Poway Park, 14134 Midland Road, Poway
Fireworks Location: Poway High School, 15500 Espola Road, Poway
Time: 9:00 PM
The Old Fashioned Fourth of July event begins at 10 a.m. at Old Poway Park with live music, steam train rides, old fashioned games, Civil War re-enactments, and a train robbery. The celebration continues at Poway High School with the fireworks display. Gates open at 7 p.m. Tickets are $2 per person. Children aged 11 and younger are free with an adult.

Ramona Rotary Club Family Picnic and Fireworks Show
Location: Olive Peirce Middle School, 1521 Hanson Lane, Ramona
Time: 9:00 PM
Gates open at 5 p.m. Games for the kids will be available along with vendor booths and food available for purchase. Bring chairs and blankets. Pets, alcohol, and tobacco are prohibited.

Rancho Bernardo's "Homegrown Heroes" Celebration and Fireworks
Location: Bernardo Heights Middle School, 12990 Paseo Lucido, San Diego
Time: 9:00 PM
Activities begin at 6 p.m. with live music from the Evie Sells Band. Bring chairs and blankets. Reserved seating is available for Freedom Club members. Free parking available at the student parking lot off Avenida Venusto. Admission is $10 per person or $20 per family.

Scripps Mesa Fireworks Extravaganza
Location: Mira Mesa High School, 10510 Reagan Road, Mira Mesa
Time: 9:00 PM

San Marcos "This Is My Country" Fourth of July Celebration
Bradley Park, Rancho Sante Fe Road and Linda Vista Drive, San Marcos
Time: 9:00 PM
Entertainment begins at 6 p.m. Bring chairs and blankets. Food is available for purchase.

Vista's Independence Day Celebration "Honor Our Heroes, Celebrate Our Freedom"
Moonlight Amphitheatre, 1200 Vale Terrace Drive, Vista
Time: 9:00 pm
Gates open at 5 p.m. Events begin at 6 p.m. with a Light Up the Night Dinner. Dinner tickets are $60 for adults and $40 for children 10 and under. Military Heroes Salute and program begins at 7 p.m. followed by live music from Get Back Loretta at 7:30 p.m. $5 Admission (kids 5 and under are free). Active duty and retired military and immediate family are free with military ID. $15 parking at Brengle Terrace Park. $30 for recreational vehicle parking at Brengle Terrace Park. Outside food and non-alcoholic beverages are permitted.

East County

El Cajon 4th of July Celebration
Kennedy Park, 1675 East Madison Avenue
Time: 9:00 PM
The fun begins at 1 p.m. with a picnic, crafts, food, and train rides for the kids. At 3 p.m., you can enjoy live music.

Ramona's Annual Fourth of July Celebration
Olive Pierce Middle School, 1521 Hanson Lane, Ramona

Santee Salutes
Town Center Community Park East, 550 Park Center Drive, Santee
Time: 9:00 PM
Events start at 3:30 p.m. with fun for the kids including a Kids' Fun Zone featuring carnival rides and games (fee applies), bounce houses, and face painting. Live music will be provided by the 80z All Stars. $5 parking (regular), $15 preferred parking, cash only. You can park for free at Costco and Rio Seco School. South County

Imperial Beach Summer Concert Series and Fireworks
Location: Imperial Beach Pier, Seacoast Drive at Evergreen Avenue, Imperial Beach
Time: 9:00 PM
Events begin at 5 p.m. with a performance by the Bobby Sanchez Combo.

National City Fourth of July Carnival and Fireworks
Location: Kimball Park & Recreation Center, East 12th Street and D Street, National City
Time: 9:00 PM
The National City Lions Club along with National City host an annual carnival at Kimball Park. Events begin at noon.
