This Popsugar story came wafting across my nose this morning via Eater LA. I guess egg burgers are trendy all of the sudden, and I couldn’t help but think how lacking the list was. Fatburger? Why didn’t they list Johnny Rockets or the Carls Jr Breakfast Burger and call it a day? Egg burgers are far from trendy, but here are some spots you really want to get a egg burger at. With all due respect though, I will have to try Kris Morningstar’s burger Benedict. After all it is National Burger day next month.
Soul Burger
Soul food on a bun, is how owner Toni Malone describes it. Her soul burgers come with ground turkey, seasoned and juicy and topped with comfort food toppings like yams, greens, stuffing, gravy, cheese, and of course, egg.
Hawkins House of Burgers
Famous for their massive Hawkins Burger, a multi layer, gut busting burger filled with two fried eggs, bacon, chili cheese, pastrami, four 8 oz burger patties, spicy sausage, and all the fixings. Although, opting for the King Burger is just as satisfying.
Rustic Canyon
A beautiful burger to behold indeed at Rustic Canyon. Stacked on top of a soft and chewy bun is a 8oz Niman Ranch ground beef patty, with a slice of sharp Vermont cheddar, a single onion ring, house made pickles, wild arugula and impeccable fried egg on top. Pair this with an excellent selection of wine, and you have the perfect meal.
