Where to find Girl Scout Cookies in New York City

It's one of the best times of the year. Girl Scout Cookie season has begun. Now is the time to stock up on thin mints, peanut butter sandwich, peanut butter patties, treoils, and my personal favorite, samoas.

Two new flavors of cookies were introduced this year: Cranberry Citrus Crisps and Chocolate Chip Shortbread, the latter of which is gluten free.

Girl Scouts gathered at Grand Central Terminal on Friday, February 7, to drum up sales. Katie Soper, the director of product sales for New York City's Girl Scouts, said, "Thin Mints are the most popular cookie across the country, but New Yorkers are particularly fond of caramel and coconut-covered Samoas. Samoas are usually the number one seller in the city, followed by Thin Mints and Trefoils."

There are going to be pop-up booths showing up, but how do you know when and where you can get your hands on some delicious Girl Scout Cookies? Check the cookie locator app, of course.

Sorry New York, but unless you have a connection -- or you head to Jersey -- finding the cookies are going to be a rarity. However, if you're in Floral Park, Valley Stream, or Elmont, you can stop at one of the booths and get them yourself.
