Not only are there your staple block parties, but local restaurants have also picked up on the spooktacular theme by adding festive bites and sips to their menus. 13th Annual Dos XX Monster Bash
The party of all parties, Monster Bash, will take over even more of the Gaslamp Quarter than before on Saturday, October 26th. Spanning eight blocks of downtown, this block party will feature three stages, 10 bars, 50 toxic dancers, and thousands of partygoers dressed in their spookiest and sexiest costumes. A costume contest at 11pm will offer a $5,000 prize, and a bevy of Mega Clubs will be spread throughout the streets. Entrances to the party will be located at 7th Avenue between Market and J Street and Island Avenue between 6th and 8th Avenues, main gate located at 8th. Maxim Presents: Dos Equis Masquerade at Andaz San Diego
If you’re looking to party hard on Halloween night, visit Andaz San Diego on Thursday, October 31, where Maxim Magazine will be taking over the luxury hotel and will include three levels of entertainment, including the RoofTop600 space which offers spectacular panorama views of downtown. Maxim models will be in attendance and available for photo opps, and top local DJ’s will be spinning all night long. Tickets begin at $25 per person and bottle service is highly encouraged. HallowWeird Hotel at Hotel Palomar
Another downtown-hotel-on-Halloween-night option is Hotel Palomar. They’ll be transforming their hotel to HalloWeird, with four haunted floors of entertainment, music, and fun. Come in your best costume and enjoy the rooftop pool lounge, SummerSalt, serveral DJ’s spinning throughout the night, including DJ MIAMI HORROR, and discounted room rates, which include two passes to the party. El Dorado’s The Munsters vs. The Addams Family
Looking for a more economical and easy Halloween party? Head to El Dorado on October 31st downtown where a mere $7 cover gets you into their Munsters vs. Addams Family theme party. Special guest DJ Morse Code with Adam Salter, Saul Q and Mike Delgado will be spinning monster mashups from 9pm-2am.
Hocus Pocus Bash at BO-beau Kitchen + Bar
Have a festive meal on Halloween night by heading over to BO-beau Kitchen +Bar in Ocean Beach. A spooky 3-course menu created by Chef “Scaredy-Kat” Humphus will feature fun delights like the “Wickedly Roasted Bones” (bone marrow with garlic) or “Bug Guts Pasta” (asparagus, pesto, mozzarella, cauliflower, toast). A Bleeding Heart Martini, Vampire Sangria, and other creepy cocktails will also be available. This Hocus Pocus menu is $31 per person, excluding tax and gratuity. URBN Coal Fired Pizza/Bar
Wear your Halloween best on October 31st and head to URBN in North Park where they’ll be raffling of 10 URBN shirts and five $25 URBN gift cards!
