Where to catch Sid Caesar movies on your Roku player

Sid Caesar (1922–2014) starred in two of the first and most popular television comedy variety shows, "Your Show of Shows" and "Caesar's Hour," in the 1950s, but is best known among later generations for his parts in popular movies such as 1978's "Grease" with Olivia Newton-John and John Travolta.

While you can only find Caesar's groundbreaking TV shows in expensive DVD sets, you can watch many of his films in the comfort of your own living room using your Roku Internet TV streaming device. Here are a few options.

  • "Barnaby and Me," 1977, available with subscription to Redbox Instant
  • "Grease," 1978, available with subscription to Netflix or Amazon Prime or rent for $2.99 from VUDU or Redbox Instant
