Where they stand: Nationwide Series points after Iowa

With Sam Hornish Jr.'s running a very limited NASCAR Nationwide Series schedule in 2014, his win at Iowa Speedway in Newton on Sunday didn't do much to shake up the driver championship points standings. Chase Elliott, the only series championship-eligible driver to make multiple trips to victory lane with two, still stands atop the standings. A couple of drivers are closing in on Elliott and the lead, though. Elliott Sadler and Elliott's JR Motorsports teammate Regan Smith, the only other drivers with wins among those racing for the championship, are tied for second spot, only two points behind Elliott and the lead.

The top-three have distanced themselves from the rest, 10 races into the season. Fourth-place driver Ty Dillon is 35 points back, and fifth-place driver Trevor Bayne is 36 points back.

Here's a look at the top-10 drivers in the championship standings (stats provided by NASCAR statistical services):

1. Chase Elliott, leader
2. Elliott Sadler, -2
2. Regan Smith, -2
4. Ty Dillon, -35
5. Trevor Bayne, -36
6. Brian Scott, -64
7. Bredan Gaughan, -97
8. James Buescher, -110
9. Chris Buescher, -119
10. Landon Cassill, -121

With his win at Iowa, Hornish kept the No. 54 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota firmly atop the owner points standings.
