With a 37th-place finish in the History 300 at Charlotte Motor Speedway, previous points leader Chase Elliott dropped to third in the NASCAR Nationwide Series driver championship points standings. Replacing him at the top is his JR Motorsports teammate Regan Smith. Smith finished seventh on Saturday. Elliott Sadler moved up to second after a 12th-place finish at CMS. Smith, Sadler and Elliott remain the only three Nationwide championship-eligible drivers to make their ways to victory lane 11 races into the 2014 season, with Elliott having two wins and Smith and Sadler one apiece. All other races, so far, this season have been won by Sprint Cup regulars, including Kyle Larson, who won Saturday's race at Charlotte.

The top-four teams in the owner points standings are all teams with Nationwide driver rosters featuring predominantly Sprint Cup Series drivers, and it just so happens that the top-four were the top-four finishers at Charlotte on Saturday. Brad Keselowski finished second in the No. 22 at CMS. The race-winning No. 42 Turner Scott Motorsports Chevrolet is third in the owner standings. In fourth-place in the standings is the No. 5 JR Motorsports Chevrolet that was driven to a fourth-place race finish by Kevin Harvick.

The highest car in the standings driven full-time by a Nationwide Series regular is the No. 7 JR Motorsports Chevrolet driven by Smith.
