Thirteen races into the 33-race 2014 NASCAR Nationwide Series season, Regan Smith leads the way in the championship standings. So far, the season has been the best, to date, for JR Motorsports, with Smith in the lead and his teammate Chase Elliott in second. Together, they're responsible for wins in three of the first 13 races. Sandwiched between the JR Motorsports duo of Smith and Elliott is Joe Gibbs Racing veteran driver, Elliott Sadler. With Sprint Cup Series regulars dominating victory lane in Nationwide Series competition, Smith, Sadler and Elliott are the only three Nationwide Series championship-eligible drivers to visit victory lane, so far.

Here's a look at the driver points standings following Saturday's race at Michigan International Speedway:

1. Regan Smith, leader
2. Elliott Sadler, -14
3. Chase Elliott, -20
4. Ty Dillon, -35
5. Trevor Bayne, -50
6. Brian Scott, -55
7. Brendan Gaughan, -122
8. Chris Buescher, -123
9. James Buescher, -124
10. Ryan Reed, -152

With the likes of Sprint Cup drivers like Kyle Busch, Brad Keselowski, Joey Logano and Kyle Larson dominating the action in the Nationwide Series, the top three positions in the Natonwide owner points standings are occupied by teams that rely heavily on Sprint Cup drivers to pilot their cars. The No. 54 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota, driven primarily by Kyle Busch, has a rather significant lead of 59 points atop the standings. Second, right now, is Team Penske's No. 22 Ford team that Brad Keselowski and Joey Logano spend the most time driving. Third is Turner Scott Motorsports' No. 42 Chevrolet, driven primarily by Cup rookie Kyle Larson. The highest team with a full-time Nationwide Series regular sits fourth -- the No. 7 JR Motorsports Chevrolet team with Regan Smith as its driver.

Here's a look at the top-10 of the Nationwide Series owner points standings:

1. No. 54 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota, leader
