JR Motorsports teammates Chase Elliott and Regan Smith continue to show the way in the NASCAR Nationwide Series points standings after Saturday's Great Clips 300 to benefit Feed the Children at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Series rookie Elliott maintained his points lead of 15 over Smith with a top-five finish (fifth) at Atlanta, while Smith finished the race just behind him in sixth. The No. 22 Team Penske Ford team and the No. 54 Toyota team of Joe Gibbs Racing continue to pull away from the competition in the owner points standings, The No. 22 continues to lead, with the No. 54 26 points back in second. They've pulled away to make the race to the owner championship a two team battle, as the No. 9 JR Motorsports Chevrolet team is the closest competition in third, 98 points out of the lead. Joey Logano drove the No. 22 to a second-place finish at Atlanta, second only to the part-time No. 5 Chevy team of JR Motorsports, with driver Kevin Harvick.
