Where they stand: Camping World Truck Series points after Eldora

With his win at Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio, Wednesday night, NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver Darrell Wallace Jr. trimmed a little off his points deficit in the championship standings, but Ryan Blaney was the big winner, points-wise. With a third-place finish at Eldora, Blaney took over the points lead and is four points up on previous leader Matt Crafton. Meanwhile, Wallace is sixth in the standings, 28 points behind Blaney.

The drivers standings are close, at least near the top, as the top-three drivers are separated by 10 points. Crafton's ThorSport Racing teammate Johnny Sauter is 10 points out of the lead in the third spot. Add series veteran Ron Hornaday into the mix and there are four drivers separated by fewer than 20 points. Hornaday is in fourth, 19 points behind leader Blaney.

Here's a look at the driver points standings after 10 races:

1. Ryan Blaney, leader
2. Matt Crafton, -4
3. Johnny Sauter, -10
4. Ron Hornaday, -19
5. German Quiroga, -26
6. Darrell Wallace Jr., -28
7. Ben Kennedy, -37
8. Timothy Peters, -42
9. Joey Coulter, -57
10. John Wes Townley, -65

Blaney's win not only gave the driver the lead atop the driver standings, it also gave the owner points lead to his No. 29 Brad Keselowski Racing Ford team by the slimmest of margins. The No. 29 team leads the No. 51 Toyota team of Kyle Busch Motorsports by a single point.

The No. 51 team has held the owner points lead for most of the season, to this point, on the strength of truck owner Kyle Busch winning each race in which he's driven the truck. Erik Jones, who raced the No. 51 at Eldora, also recently drove the truck to victory lane. But the No. 51 team lost owner points for post-race inspection failures the two race weekends prior to Eldora, and Jones struggled in the Eldora race after running fastest in qualifying, winning a heat race and leading the first 24 laps of the main event. Each had its toll on the No. 51's position in the standings.

The ThorSport No. 88 and No. 98 Toyota teams, meanwhile, hold down third and fourth in the owner standings, both within 10 points of the new leader.
