Where the Wild Things Are: Second HD trailer released

Warner Brothers "Where the Wild Things Are"

With little over two months to go until the Friday, October 16, 2009 nationwide launch of Where the Wild Things Are, excitement and buzz are beginning to mount now that a second HD trailer has been released, revealing more of the film’s precious footage.

A mix of live action, animatronics (robotic puppetry), suitmation (costumed actors) and computer generated imagery, the film, based on Maurice Sendak’s beloved and best-selling children’s book, which was first published in 1963, promises to be very special.

The movie, directed by Spike Jonze and written for the big screen by Jonez and Dave Eggars, stars young actor, Max Records, portraying the central character “Max," a mischievous little fellow  who’s not only trying to find his way in the real world, but in a world of his imagination. It will be no surprise that Records will manage to steal your heart with his acting.

The movie also stars, Catherine Keener, Mark Ruffalo, Lauren Ambrose, James Gandolfini, Catherine O’ Hara and Forest Whitaker.

Where the Wild Things Are has been rated PG by the Motion Picture Association of America for the movie’s “mild thematic elements, some adventure action and brief language.”
