Where's Waldo And A Day In The Real World Where Money Can’t Buy You Love But Gives You Fast Access To Everything Else
Wally lived in a perfect cartoon world filled with beauty, fairness and love. In his world the only thing that truly mattered was love and with love everything was possible.
One fine day he decided to visit reality to see how it compared to what he was used to. He first decided to visit the grocery store because he thought it would be good to do some shopping. He grabbed a cart and quickly filled it with all his favorite food.
Wally waited in line and once he reached the register he pulled out his love card, same as he was used to doing at home in fantasy land. The cashier asked him to make a payment so Waldo went and swiped his love card but to his great surprise and utmost dismay it instantly got rejected.
He looked at the cashier with a puzzled look and asked, “how come it isn’t working?”. The cashier frowned and said, “ Did you actually think that love was going to buy you groceries you fool? Welcome to reality where cash is king!”
Waldo felt very sad, embarrassed and disappointed as he was forced to leave his cart behind and move on to his next adventure. Since he could not get any food and his stomach was growling he thought he’d stop by his favorite pizza place.
Once more he waited in line, ordered his pizza and when it was time to pay he pulled out his magic love card. He swiped and swiped again to no avail. He asked the clerk if Love would get him a pizza today. The clerk replied, “I’ll check with my manager but I think we’re all out of pro bono today”. The manager came over and told Wally that their quota of free pizza had already been given out to the homeless and that he should come back some other time.
Waldo exited the shop and before he knew it, it began to rain cats and dogs. Hungry, tired and disappointed he decided to get a cab to take him to the nearest hotel. His thumb went up and a cab stopped to pick him up. He climbed on board and told the cab driver where he was headed.
Once they arrived the cab driver asked him to pay the fair. Waldo pulled out his trusty love card once more and gave it to the cab driver. The driver looked back at Wally in anger! What am I supposed to do with love he said in a very angry tone! Is this a joke? Where is the cash? Wally looked at the cab driver and shrugged. Love is all I have to give said Waldo. The cab driver told Waldo to get out of his vehicle before he called the police and Wally ran out as quickly as he could forgetting all of his belongings.
Wally enters the inn. Soaked, hungry, tired, disappointed and depressed he walks up to the counter and asks the hotel front desk attendant for the cheapest room available. We have one on the 3rd floor for 100 bucks for the night and how would you like to pay for it sir? Waldo, now practically in tears pulls out his love card and says, “Do you guys accept Love ?” The attendant stared back at him like he was a crazy man and said, the homeless shelter is three blocks away, next paying customer in line please! At this point Wally is heart broken and decides that the real world isn’t a place where he’d ever want to visit again. He grabs his love card and poof! Away he goes to fantasy land never to return again to such a dreadful place called reality!
Pictures coming soon!!
