Wally felt very fortunate to live in a cartoon realm where anything and everything is truly possible. He wondered why technology on planet earth kept progressing at such slow rates and why driving had to be so dangerous and cause so many deaths every year.

He was puzzled by the fact that human beings engineer vehicles that can reach speeds of over 180 miles per hour to be driven on surface streets, when clearly any speed above 120 even on a freeway would cause most drivers to spin out or crash in a ditch somewhere.

In Wally's world vehicles were built more like bumper cars with high performance plastics, rubber and engines designed for the task at hand. In Waldo's world car bodies were built out of high performance plastics similar to the ones designed by TOGA Developments http://togadev.com/Home.html https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=wEYR7CFPaG8 and coated with rubber to avoid scratches and damage caused by external hazards.

All windows were also made out of see through rubbery plastic on the inside and a hard surface on the exterior so that even when hit by a hard object the shards would be contained.

Wally wondered if the technology wasn't being used because people can't think outside the box or could it be that so many industries and businesses make money from people crashing every year that perhaps it would hurt the economy to build safer vehicles.

Just some food for thought.

Images will be coming shortly...

Yours truly,

Wally
