For the past several years many skiers around the Washington D.C. area have enjoyed going to the Ski Expo in Dullas, VA. We would get free lift tickets and see the inspiring Warren Miller movie. No information could be found as to when the Expo would be this year. To save you time, here is the bad news: It has been reported that this particular Ski Expo will not be taking place this year.
Yeah, skiers in the area are very disappointed! At this date, according to the Warren Miller website, there are no movie showings scheduled in this area.
At this time, the closest movie showing published will be in Enola, PA on Oct. 16. There is a Ski Expo in Harrisburg, PA during October 16-18, 2009.
Scheduling a showing would be an incredible opportunity for someone to do. Information on how to do that is available on the Warren Miller website. Many skiers would be grateful for anyone to get this going.
This years movie, Dynasty, would be Warren's 60th Anniversary film. We really want to see it on the big screen with other ski buddies. Last years movie, Children of Winter, is now available on DVD.
