Last Saturday, a Malaysia Airlines flight headed from the Malaysian capital city of Kuala Lumpur to Beijing, China, suddenly vanished without any obvious traces.
The flight disappeared from radar, though experts now believe that the plane stayed in the air for about seven hours after it initially vanished from radar.
So, where is the plane now?
In a mystery that has shocked people around the nation, and around the world, no one has been able to find any remnants of the plane despite extensive search efforts from several countries. As of now, there have not been any confirmed remnants found of the plane.
Many people have blamed possible terrorists for the flight vanishing. While this may be possible (two passengers on board carried false identification) there is still no confirmation. Many have also questioned the background of the pilots, and whether or not they may have been responsible. Several politicians and security experts have also made televised statements about the possible involvement of terrorists being on board.
Still, it is all just speculation for now. So far, there are far more questions than answers as the search for answers still goes on.
At the moment, it seems as though human interference was the most likely culprit for the plane vanishing. Still, will we ever know exactly what happened?
Hopefully, as this is investigated we will eventually know more. If not, this will undoubtedly be one of the greatest international mysteries of all time.
