Jeff Trevino was reportedly arrested this afternoon on suspicions that he had murdered his missing wife, Mall of America worker Kira Trevino. The woman remains missing, however, while her husband sits in jail. This Gather News article asks about what evidence might have been located to justify this arrest, but on Feb. 26, 2013 Fox News 9 out of Minneapolis-St. Paul reveals that there was "sufficient evidence" to demand the arrest of Jeff Trevino. This must be devastating news for the loved ones of the missing 30-year-old woman, who have been holding out for hope that she'd be found.
There is one vital piece of evidence missing from this entire case, however. And that's the body of the missing woman. Where is it? If Jeff Trevino killed his wife, where did he put her body? Officials didn't clarify on any of the evidence in a press conference held regarding Jeff's arrest, but is it likely that they have an idea of what he might have done with her?
The Fox News 9 source also mentions that there is a roommate in the home of Kira and Jeff Trevino, and the roommate (unidentified) appears to be cooperating with the investigation, and is not involved in the case. That's good news at least, but maybe the person has some kind of information that will lead to locating the missing woman's body. Because it's hard to make accusations of murder stick without a body of evidence, although it's not necessarily impossible.
The "Find Kira Trevino" Facebook page hasn't been active for 20 hours, so her loved ones have yet to publicly comment in this manner. However, there are numerous comments on the page made by random members of the public, even on a national level, giving condolences and sharing hope that she might still be found.
