Where is Anji Dean?

It has been two weeks since Angelic "Angi" Dean vanished from her Camas, Wash. home. Sometime between 9 and 10:30 pm, she just walked out the front door of her house. By the looks of it, when she left the house, she didn't expect to be gone for long, as she left all of her identification, her bank card, all her clothes, even her glasses. It is believed that this 17-year-old may have become a victim of human trafficking.

Monday evening, Lynda Jorgenson, Anji's mother, told Nancy Grace, "We have no idea where she is or who she’s with. She can’t be doing this on her own, so we’re really, really afraid for her." It also was revealed during this interview that the teen had a cell phone that her parents didn't know about, which is pretty common in these kind of situations. However, the phone has not yet been found.

Just hours before she disappeared, a neighbor saw her getting out of an older model blue Volvo, driven by a 25-25 year old black man with a goatee. Her parents can't think of anyone their daughter would know that would match that description. Additionally, over the last few months, Anji has said to teachers and counselors at her school that she was in over her head with something bad, but she didn't give enough information to raise the right flags.

On the day she disappeared, the teen texted her boyfriend, telling him that she was involved in something bad and someone was threatening to kill him and her family. The messages went on to say she wasn't leaving on her own, "they" were making her go. That definitely sounds like a situation that a 17 year old should have to be dealing with. They should be concerned with SAT scores and college and senior year.

It is believed that Anji Dean is in the Portland area, though no one has reported seeing the girl. Her last journal entry read: "If you are reading this, I am either missing or dead." Hopefully, she has left more information for authorities to go on, something that may lead to her being recovered before it's too late. She is 5'6" tall, weighing around 140 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. If you see Anji, or have any information regarding her whereabouts, please contact Detective Scott Kirgiss or the Clark County Sheriff's Office at (360)-397-2028.

Seriously, she's just a kid. Any number of bad decisions, which teenagers are famous for, could have led to this. She deserves to come home and have the chance to try again. Hopefully she is found soon and returned home.
