It appears that anyone can be taught the simplest lesson; case in point when visiting the local museum of Science in Los Angeles it was recently brought to the light that the system of Science itself is a system of Spirituality upon reflection. It could be argued that one of the key reasons why Atheist and impartial agnostics have a real dilemma with coming to terms with the fact that there is an entity that is total and sole ruler of their affairs (i.e. God) may be due to the long standing ideological representation that “Science is Science” and “Religion is Religion” which is what many here in the West have been taught: Islam does not have this ideological problem nor is it a conflict.
When one walks down the halls and looks at the displays that are available at the Los Angeles Museum of Science, verse after verse of the Holy Qur’an is validated and brought to life; in particular the verse at the beginning of this article. Even today, Scientist who operate on empirical evidence have concluded that the Universe and all that is known about it thus far is the result of one single “point” or “action”; the Islamic root word for this is “Niqat” And from this “Point” all that we know exist.
It is for this reason, many a Atheist and skeptic have embraced the path of Islam while attempting to disprove the Qur’an, however they found it to be virtually impossible; especially when it comes to attempting to disprove the key points related to Science. In Islam Science is a system of Spirituality in itself. Some of the key points related to Science and the Human Body in the Quran that Scientist have agreed are correct are: The triple stages of the human embryo, The “Bang” of the Universe (by the will of Allah s.w.t), That all of the Continents were joined all together at once, that all physical life originates from water, the issue of Alzheimer’s, the healing effects of Honey, the perception of time with Super-relativity and much, much more.
While Atheism and doubt can simply reduce all of life and physical phenomena as just the process of Life and that there is nothing sacred nor Divine about it.; the one with intelligence must ask that if all existence can be reduced to a life process, then “what” is responsible for the existence of that “Life Process” and “what” allows one to even begin to comprehend that magnificent question? That ‘what’ is Allah (swt). As the condition of the Human species continues to progress along with universe at large, more verses of the Qur’an are manifesting themselves. The fact that someone had no physical form then had one that could perceive the world around them is Divine in itself. As stated before, Islam does not have the conflict between Science and Faith and within it is where the Heavens and the Planets meet. With Love; As Salaam Alaykum.
