Where do you drink tea in your city?

One of the things that is missing from Tea Examiner is a nationwide and international list of tearooms, tea houses, and other places to drink tea. It would be easy to search the Internet and copy the information from other websites. However, that just is not the way things are done on Tea Examiner.

Instead, we would like to know about the places in  your city that sell tea. It does not have to be a tearoom or an official tea house. We just want to know where in your city you can buy a great cup or pot of tea. We want any place that serves good loose-leaf tea and lets you sit down to drink it. It is not necessary for the establishment to serve formal afternoon tea. If they serve tea and provide chairs to sit it, that is good enough. Places that are strictly tea to go do not count.

Please include any jpg. photographs you have taken yourself or that are available for sharing on the Internet. Tea establishments may toot their own horns, but we would rather have reviews from your patrons. Therefore, if you want to send me information on you own tearoom, please ask one or two of your patrons to send their reviews as well.

So, tell us all about your favorite place to drink tea out. It will be written up and your name will be mentioned in the article unless you choose to remain anonymous. Please include the address and phone number of the tea establishment. That helps with two things. It helps new customers find them and it helps Tea Examiner contact them for further information. If they have a website, please send a URL for that, too.

When there are enough tea establishments, there will be an index page with the places listed by city and state. Hopefully there will be links to all their sites.

To send me information about a tearoom or tea house, please click on "contact me" below and put the word "tearoom" in the subject line.

Margaret, I have a few places that are great here in Taipei. I am going to be working on a few articles for both my culinary travel and international travel topics so I will send you info when they go live. As you can probably imagine, living here in Taiwan is a Chinese tea mecca. There are some great tea houses, but also a number of good restaurants that serve some delicious premium teas.

I'd love to have a tea room near me.
