Alexandria,La- Times are very tough for people nowadays, and having a way to generate extra income can be a life saver. While many people in Alexandria could use the extra money a second job can bring, it would also mean more time out of the home. This is something many families simply cannot do.
There are so many work from home schemes out there that it seems pointless to even try to pursue something like that. There are a few options available to you though. All you have to do is be patient, be able to type, spell, use proper punctuation and do some minor research. There is absolutely no set up fee, down payment, tricks or gimmicks to it.
All you have to do is to be able to do is create well read, factual, engaging and informative articles using your own words. Having COPYSCAPE is a good idea as well. You do not want to plagiarize. There are several sites that I myself have tried. In one year I have come to have my own little business. It is great supplemental income that will keep you in the home.
You may want to go ahead and set up a Paypal account as well to get paid. A prepaid money card from Walmart is fine for the other sites and to be able to transfer your money to from Paypal until your grace period ends to get their debit card. Using your bank information is fine as well, but most people are leery of that with new business ventures. Again, I have used these sites, and they are legit.
Textbroker.com is one site. You will set up your profile and then you have to send in your credentials. There will be a test article, and within a couple of weeks you will get paid. They pay once a week, and you select articles from an open orders pool to write. They rate your work and classify you, so it is important to pay attention to detail so you get paid well.
Elance.com is another site. This is where I built my business. Starting out with Elance it is a good idea to have Textbroker to fall back on when there is no work. You have to build your profile here with client feedback. Starting out make sure Escrow is always funded before you start work for clients. This is how you know you will get paid. You have to submit proposals. Start bidding low just to land the jobs and get good feedback. As you gain experience you will get better jobs, and you can raise your prices to 1.00 for every 100 words plus time and research.
Elance also had categories for WordPress wen design, billing and coding, customer service, virtual assistants and business admin services to name a few job categories offered to freelancers. This is a great spot. Just be patient, because I now have my own little business there.
Examiner.com wont make you rich, but it will give you exposure and build your portfolio. You really need that and sample work for clients. Pay attention to detail. Check our work, and be fair with the clients. Remember communication and trust are key. It is possible, if you are willing to put in the time and effort to make it happen.
Lat but not least you can make a blog advertising the services and skills that you offer. Show out, and incorporate ad-sense. You can also use Facebook and Twitter for social media marketing. Join groups and make connections. You will be shocked at the potential earnings once you have it off the ground. Again, you wont get rich, but the prestige and extra money will go a long way. This is especially true in times where job loss is inevitable and prices are going up. It is worth it to start it up now, so the business has time to flourish before things get any tougher out there.
