Since the last couple of days, the media has run amok with rumors about Sonali Bendre not wearing her essential piece of garment to Karan Johar’s bash on 1 February, 2011. “Sonali Bendre spotted panty less at Karan Johar’s bash”; “Sonali Bendre suffers a wardrobe malfunction at KJo’s bash”; Easy tool for B-town babes to get instant fame”; “After Rakhi Sawant, Yana Gupta and Neetu Chandra, it’s now Bollywood actress Sonali Bendre” - the list is endless.
Seriously? Then where are the scintillating pictures and the explosive videos? The only videos available are the ones from Zoom channel, floating around on YouTube and some other websites. However, the so called panty less picture, which was so painstakingly captured by the media, has been graciously blurred and left to viewers’ imagination.
Also, according to the various reports and images on websites, (like the Times of India photo gallery for instance) Bendre came to the party along with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and her sister-in-law Shrishti Behl. Apparently, as soon as she got out of her car, the paparazzi managed to get pictures of her without her underwear. But, the videos on YouTube shows Sonali’s husband Goldie in the front seat instead of Shrishti, and Aishwarya seems to have vanished like Sonali’s panties.
In the midst of all this media hype, what remains unanswered though, is why Bendre would want to do a Rakhi Sawant or Yana Gupta, when she is not even doing any films or "item numbers" anymore. What would an actress of Bendre’s caliber do with unwanted publicity which would only tarnish her image, and embarrass her family and school going child?
Well Sonali, the next time you attend a party maybe you should wear bloomers instead of thongs, and arrive in an Ashok Leyland truck, so that the media can be certain about your clothing, when you jump off the truck in slow motion, wearing a tight mini skirt!
