With Christmas only days away, and shopping malls packed, many Americans are scrambling for last minute gift ideas for kids, especially those older children, nephews, and nieces on your list. Here’s one idea:
Give the gift of freedom and responsibility – a gun.
Most states allow teenagers to own and possess long guns, and those 18 years of age and older to own, possess, and open carry handguns. Additionally, few states require any registration of guns, or ban private intra-family transfers of guns.

A great side benefit from Christmas gun gifts is the time you will spend with your kids learning about guns, cleaning them, going to gun safety training classes, and time spent together at the range. What? No Ruger 10/22? Nothing against the Marlin, but there has to be 9 billion 10/22s out there.
My favorite .22LR is no longer made: a Remington Nylon66. That sure made my Christmas!
got my two young'ins their first single shot 22 LR Cricketts @ http://www.crickett.com - i bought them at walmart [2005] before they went all crazy on us for $99.00 a piece [momma made me wait this long to give them this year lol] kids are now 8 & 10 i have taken them shooting for the last 4 years they love it!!!
