A now healthier Illinois hometown hero has won the Biggest Loser Season 14.
Danni Allen, an advertising account coordinator from Wheeling, Illinois has become the latest winner both on and off the screen in the battle against obesity.
In a dramatic finish on Monday night, 26 year old Danni claimed the victory by losing an jaw dropping 121 lbs.during her 6 month journey with the reality TV show Biggest Loser.
She bested the four other contestants that were in the finals including young Jackson who shed an absolutely astonishing 42% of his body weight.
When Danni was first picked to be a contestant on show she weighed in at a very unhealthy 258 lbs.
It came down to a single pound between Jeff and Danni and in the end Danni was the victor.
From the moment she stepped on the finale stage last night you could see the healthier changes that she had made in her life.
She looked absolutely stunning in her fit like a glove cocktail dress and new hairstyle.
At a local viewing party in the suburbs of Chicago guests were shocked by her amazing transformation.
"She doesn't even look like the same person", said one stunned guest after she broke through the "fat" picture of her old self to reveal the new "healthy" Danni.
Danni spent a good deal of time on the ranch being the only member of the white team after her teammates were continuously voted off.
Jillian Michaels was her tough no-nonsense trainer who just returned to the show this season after a two year absence.
Jillian is known for not only attacking the physical issues that people who are obese face but also for the tough love tactics she uses to dig deeper into the psychological reasons that her students have for gaining the weight.
In her approach she believes it is critical for both physical and emotional healing to allow for a greater long term success rate of keeping the weight off and maintaining overall health.
Danni takes home the grand prize of $250,000 but more importantly she gets the prize of her health and happiness back.
Danni now returns to Illinois looking and feeling like a brand new person.
She has been given the knowledge, tools, experience and training to live a healthy and happy life.
