"Wheel of Fortune" explained a "Fast and Furious" puzzle that they had on a show just days after Paul Walker died. On Dec. 3, MSN reported that the show's Twitter account was updated after people were upset by the answer to one of the puzzles aired this week. While the show was taped months ago, the timing of it was just plain bad.
"The show that included the puzzle 'The Fast and The Furious' was taped on 10/4/13. It's an unfortunate coincidence that it aired tonight. The hearts of everyone at Wheel of Fortune go out to the family, friends & fans of Paul Walker," the show wrote on Twitter.
The "Wheel of Fortune" "Fast and Furious" puzzle wasn't about Paul Walker nor did the show mention the actor, but some people were really offended and/or hurt that "The Fast and the Furious" was the answer to one of their puzzles on the same week that Walker passed away. According to several people from the show, the puzzle was just a coincidence and the show didn't mean to stir up any controversy -- or hurt anyone's feelings.
"Feel terrible about timing of 'Fast & Furious' puzzle tonight. Taped long ago & went out to 200 local stations days ago," tweeted show host Pat Sajak.
Did "Wheel of Fortune's" "Fast and Furious" puzzle upset you? Do you think people are overreacting?
