After taking a few days to think about UFC 157 I came up with some interesting scenarios regarding what we may see here in the near future for the participants of this past Saturday's pay per view event.
After once again being dominant in the cage, fans are left wanting to see a matchup between Ronda Rousey and Cris Cyborg. With Cyborg being released from the UFC, for not wanting to cut weight to 135 pounds, this leaves the winner of Miesha Tate and Cat Zingano to be the most likely next opponent for Ronda Rousey.
Liz Carmouche who came just barely short of being the first woman to beat Ronda has a lot to look forward to. I believe even though she lost, her stock may have increased due to her performance. A matchup with newly signed Sara Mcmann makes the most sense in my opinion. With a solid win or two, I can see Liz getting a rematch next year with Rousey.
After a non eventful comain event, Lyoto Machida is scheduled to get the winner of Jon Jones vs. Chael Sonnen. While Machida did not look very impressive, he will need to bring his A game when he gets his title shot.
Dan Henderson had everything on the line for himself this past Saturday night. With a win he would have got the next title shot. Henderson who believes he should have won the fight, now looks to build his way back up. I believe Henderson vs. Rashad Evans would be a great matchup with both men coming off losses.
Urijah Faber's next fight may be a rematch with interim champion Renan Barao. I believe if Urijah does not fight Barao a matchup with Michael McDonald makes the most sense.
After looking great against Josh Koscheck this past Saturday night I believe that Robbie Lawler should face off against another winner from Saturday night in Court Mcgee.
