As discussed in a previous article, Shared Hope International has given each state a letter grade based on their human trafficking laws. They are now partnering with Backyard Broadcast to run the Raise Your Grade campaign asking everyone to writer their Governors requesting stronger laws against trafficking. The campaign runs March 1-31 with a goal of driving attention to the issue of child sex trafficking and weak state laws. The hope is to have 1,000 people in each state write their Governor letting them know the state grade, where they can find more information about how their state scored, and asking them to make the issue of child sex trafficking a priority in their state.
It’s fast and easy to do:
1. Go to raiseyourgrade.org
2. Click on your state
3. Click on “Write Your Governor”
4. It will take you to a link to register for the campaign on Facebook. This link will go directly to a message created on our Capwiz system. All you have to do is review the letter and hit send. You also have the opportunity to customize the letter.
It will only take a few minutes and will help raise awareness. You can also share this link with your friends and family and “Like” Raise Your Grade on Facebook to stay up to date on the progress of the campaign.
