What will your kids do this summer?

Apr 20, 2011 – Summer school?  Science camp?  Please, do not say they’ll be watching TV all summer long!

How about a Summer With Shakespeare?  Consider the program offered by A Noise Within, a leading force in arts education, which will be held from June 27 through July 16 at its Glendale theater.

Led by professional faculty, the program is prepared for youth 10 to 18 years old and it consists of interactive classes in acting, improvisation, voice, speech, movement technique, textual analysis, stage combat, and more.  Sessions will run Monday through Friday and culminate in a presentation of scenes from Shakespeare plays.

Two registration options are available: Full Day, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for $750 and Summer School Special from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. for $600.  The registration deadline is June 13, 2011, and space is limited. Students will be placed in age-appropriate groups, according to enrollment.

The Summer with Shakespeare faculty consists of theatre professionals with distinguished backgrounds.  Here’s the information on three of them:
