Picture this you are at a party having a blast and you whip out your smart phone and start snapping some really embarrassing pictures of your friends, or a wicked keg stand, or a slew of other really great photos that you want to show the rest of the world? Then you need to check out a great new app called What Went Down.
What is What Went Down?
What Went Down is a fun, free, and unique photo sharing website that allows users to post and edit their photos in a whole new way. Pick from one of several unique editing features to hide your identity or highlight items in your photo to change those everyday moments into something hilarious. Add creative captions to make your photos that much more entertaining. You can choose to post solely on What Went Down or share your finished product with your friends through existing social media.
There are plenty of categories to choose from including Awkward, Fail, Hot Girls, Hot Guys, Party On, Priceless, and Throwback. I understand I might have made this app out to be a college frat party fun time but it is also a place for you to post funny photos and enjoy other people’s photos as well.
What Went Down was created by a couple of young Pepperdine University students, who have taken photo sharing to the next level. In this social media age having an app like makes a big difference when telling the whole story, capturing those unique awkward moments that are often unnoticed while sharing them with the world to making them viral hits.
I recently had a chance to interview them for my podcast as well as my YouTube channel and it was a very fascinating interview and we talked more in depth of What Went Down and some very other topics. During the interview we talk about how What Went Down differentiates itself away from Instagram.
One of your friends posts an embarrassing photo of you that you want taken down. What should I do? Not to worry, that embarrassing photo that one of your friends posted of you can be removed if requested. Although What Went Down is a place to freely share all of your fun photos we do respect individual privacy and do not want to defame anyone.
So, if your friends post something without your consent that you feel is inappropriate, you can contact them directly with your concerns. Remember What Went Down allows you to post some really great and funny photos all while doing it anonymously so you won’t get in trouble if your best friends see a photo of a party last night that might be a little upsetting but since it is anonymous no one will ever know.
What Went Down does have some strict no nudity policy on their site and all photos go through a reviewing process to ensure all Terms and Conditions are being followed. The future is also bright as they are developing more features for What Went Down possibly including a video feature. So if you want to get in on the early fun and start posting photos you can download the app for both Apple and Android platforms. What are you waiting for? Post some photos so you can remember What Went Down
