What treatments can you get at the Senses Spa at Disney's Grand Floridian?

Recently I shared my spa experience at the Senses Spa in the Grand Floridian Resort at Walt Disney World. I got the citrus facial, which was a wonderfully decadent experience, but it's just one choice out of many, many others. Here's a sampling of the facials, body treatments, and massages from which you can choose:

Aromatherapy massage: There are other choices, like the custom firm pressure massage and the Grand Floridian signature massage, but there's something especially relaxing about aromatherapy because it adds an additional sense to the experience. Not only do you have the healing touch, but you also get scents that make it a more well-rounded experience.

Coconut Age Corrective Facial Treatment: I highly recommend the citrus facial, but you can't go wrong with this one, either. As I described in my earlier report, the citrus facial included such delicious scents as grapefruit, pineapple, and strawberry rhubarb. I had an opportunity to smell the coconut product, and it smells as delicious as a can of coconut filling. You'll want to get out a spoon!

Red Rose Anti-Aging Body Treatment: Rose is such a lovely scent. Imagine your whole body being enveloped in it. What could be more relaxing? A close second is the Sun Relief Aloe Full Body Treatment, as so many people visit Florida without realizing just how vicious the sun can be. This treatment will sooth sun-abused skin after a few long days at Walt Disney World.

Special Hand and Foot Ritual: Those who aren't big on body treatments often prefer to pamper themselves with manicures and pedicures. The treatments in the Senses Spa follow a theme of either Relax, Renew, or Imagine, and each theme has its own type of hand and foot treatment. There's balancing geranium for Relax, Chinese jasmine for Renew, and energizing ginger for Imagine.

Call 407-WDW-SPAS to book a spa treatment at the Senses Spa. You don't have to be staying at a Walt Disney World hotel to visit the spa. People staying off-site and locals can have some indulgence, too. Click the video at lower left for an interview with Spa Director Ginger McLean on what you can expect.
