What should you wear to a Katy Perry concert? If the Wednesday, July 2 stop on Perry's "Prismatic World Tour" is any indication, pretty much anything goes.
The pop powerhouse brought her "Roar" to the BB&T Center in Sunrise/Fort Lauderdale, Fla. to a packed house. A local radio station was set up in front of the venue offering fans the chance to pose for photos wearing a blue wig and cupcake bra. Men, women and children were all lined up for their chance.
Many concert attendees were outfits inspired by Perry music videos. One of Katy's trademark looks is a bra-style top, the wackier the better. (She wore one with big yellow smiley faces on the cups during the show.) There were lots of women and teenage girls wearing bra tops with plenty of skin showing. The leopard print bra was very common.
Other Katy Cats channeled their inner Kitty Purry with feline tails and ears. Some even rocked full one-piece cats suits.
Neon was another popular choice. There were lots of rainbow tutus (some even worn by men) and brightly colored knee socks.
Pastel hair was a favorite accessory. Many donned wigs and extensions, while others used hair chalk and dye.
Perry herself went through nine wardrobe changes during the two hour performance. Highlights included an Egyptian inspired look, a sexy cat suit, lots of neon, a Valentino gown and a ying yang dress that rose up from the stage as Katy sang. Her dancers also went through a wide variety of outfits.
However, not everyone was dressed to the extreme. There were lots of attendees in jeans and Prismatic tour concert t-shirts. Others opted for dresses and high heels.
So what do you wear to a Katy Perry concert? Pretty much anything goes. Perry is a warm and inviting host and will welcome you whatever you wear.
