Pork-u-Lust
Our spendthrift Democratic controlled Congress that is shelling out billions in a pork-u-lust stimulus knows no limit to their debauchery. Now the Senate Democrats who have no shame decided that they might as well spend millions on put up road signs so motorist can see where the pork is being spent.
The road signs indicate construction projects they see are being paid for by the $787 billion pork-u-lust bill. In a 52-45 vote, the Democratic side of the Senate decided the signs should stay so taxpayers know how great they are. Botox “Call me Senator” Boxer had this to say,.
Why on earth would you want to hide from the American people the fact that the recovery package we passed is putting people to work?"
Get this, she claims the stimulus spending is beginning to improve the economy (whose economy) and the audacious traitor impugned that frugal-minded Republicans and Democrats (if there is such a thing as frugal in Washington that voted against the signs are just jealous the pork laden stimulus is working.
Senator Judd Gregg who tried to cut out the spending at this to say,
These are self-congratulatory signs; they're political signs. They're so that lawmakers can pat themselves on the back," he said. "But these signs cost money. Actually, when you add them all up, they cost a lot of money. We do enough self-congratulating around here. They shouldn't make the taxpayers pay for it."
Here is the vote-remember the spendthrifts Central Florida. The YEAs voted to cut the spending on the signs, the NOs voted to keep spending! Florida Senator Nelson voted to keep spending!

Comments
Pure political posturing - Republican Congress-critters dipped as deeply into the stimulus money as the Democrats to fund projects in their own districts and states. They don't want the signs because they don't want to be exposed as hypocrites.
If you want to track where the money goes, start with recovery.gov.
