Do you ever wonder what to do with leftover hamburger and hot dog buns? What about that loaf of bread that you never finished before it went stale? Don't throw that bread away! These leftover baked goods can be used to make whole new dishes. Below are some easy ways to use up the bread and not waste it.
- Bread crumbs Using a food processor, grind up bread into crumbs. Use the bread crumbs to bread chicken tenders or use in a meatloaf. If you aren't using the crumbs right away put them in a ziploc bag in the freezer for future use.
- Garlic Bread Split leftover hamburger and hot dog buns and place on a baking sheet. Spread with butter or margarine. Sprinkle with garlic powder, garlic salt, and Italian seasoning. Add some mozzarella cheese on top if you wish. Broil on high in the oven for 7 minutes or until lightly browned.
- Croutons Cube bread into 1 inch pieces and place in a bowl. Moisten with olive oil. Stir and sprinkle with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Place on a baking sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes or until crispy. Store in an airtight container until ready to use.
- French Toast Dip slices of thick sliced bread or buns into a mixture of egg, milk, vanilla, and cinnamon and fry in a skillet till browned. Serve with syrup and powdered sugar.

I vaguely remember a sausage savory bread pudding. Not sure where the recipe came from though.
Great ideas! I just saw RR this morning and she suggests saving the bread in the freezer until you have enough to use!
