Not sure if your flight will be delayed or canceled?
Before you leave home, you can check your flight status on the San Diego airport website here.
You can also check directly with your airline by visiting their website or signing up for flight status notification. After you sign up for flight status notification, you will be notified immediately of any changes to your flight. You also have the option to set flight alerts up to 4 hours prior to your flight.

Being notified in advance that your flight has been delayed or canceled is great, but you also need to know what to do after you’ve been notified of a flight cancellation or delay.
With hundreds of other passengers in the same situation, you want to be sure that you get on another flight and get the best possible option.
If you’re already at the airport, go to the nearest counter for help. You may want to take a quick look at the departures board to see what other flights are available and write down some possibilities. You can also do this on your phone or tablet.
While waiting in line, call the airlines. You may get help from a telephone agent sooner than you would waiting in line, especially if the line is long and you have elite status with the airline.
Be sure you know what your options are before you make changes to your flight.
