What to do this Saturday, Jan. 28 at MOCA GA

There is still time to immerse yourself in the wealth of information and visual displays available at The Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia (MOCA GA) this Saturday, Jan. 28 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

While you may have missed the reception and gallery talk at the MOCA GA on Thursday night, when artist Katherine Mitchell was slated to hold court with her admirers, Katherine Mitchell's Places of Memory and Dreams can still be viewed this weekend and through March 31.

MOCA members and USA military with valid IDs can view exhibits for free, while seniors and students pay only $1. Non-members don't pay much more for a day of artistic pleasure at a mere $5 per person.

Katherine Mitchell: Places of Memory and Dreams is the 96th exhibition to date for the state's contemporary art museum, and is a solo exhibition for the Atlanta-based artist.

Mitchell, a retired Emory University Visual Arts Department senior lecturer, can boast 20 such exhibits in her artistic career, and the artistic presentations have spanned from Georgia to Germany geographically.
