The best thing to do on New Year's Day, if not lazily reading, napping, or watching movies in your pajamas drinking coffee mixed with hot chocolate and UV Whipped Vodka, is to daydream of all the trips and adventures that can be had during the upcoming year. According to an online poll only 8% of the 45% of people who make New Year's Resolutions actually keep them. That is why daydreaming and doing some research on vacations or mini-trips you can take is better than making a resolution. If you call it a resolution, there's a 92% chance that it will happen, but getting excited about planning an adventure can lead to making reservations and fabulous upcoming experiences!
Here are some great ideas for travel this year. New Zealand is becoming particularly fascinating because of the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit tours available. Even if you are not a LOTR fan (if you are not then I question your taste because LOTR is the most brilliant piece of film and one of the best of all time, for reals), New Zealand is what you think Australia looks like. That is no dig to Australia, but the greenery and lush landscapes are more a New Zealand aspect, not Australian. While a trip to New Zealand may seem a bit overzealous, there could be an exploration of Yellowstone National Park or the Grand Canyon or maybe a trip to Jellystone with Yogi Bear and the family. The point is to think of the best way to try something you have always wanted to try. Go on! Have a blast and plan a trip.
