Super Bowl XLVII features the Baltimore Ravens and head coach John Harbaugh versus the San Francisco 49ers’and head coach Jim Harbaugh fighting for the Super Bowl ring in New Orleans.
The rival coaches are brothers, which means there will be only one true winner tonight – the parents of Jim and John Harbaugh. No matter which team loses or wins the game tonight, the parents can say “my son was head coach for the winning team.”
Kickoff time for the Super Bowl is 6.30 p.m. EST on Feb. 3. Alicia Keys has the heavy duty task of singing the National Anthem at this year’s game. Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson will join the Sandy Hook Elementary School choir for what promises to be a beautiful rendition of “America the Beuatiful” prior to kickoff.
For the main entertainment, all eyes will be on halftime super star Beyonce Knowles, as she takes the spotlight with or without Destiny’s Child for her highly anticipated halftime performance.
As for this year’s Super Bowl ads, they range from what some have deemed racist – Coke and Volkswagen to those rated too sexy, like Mercedes Benz, Go Daddy and Carl’s Jr/Hardee’s. All three feature Sports Illustrated swimsuit models – Kate Upton, Nina Agdal and Bar Refaeli. Not to be outdone, Calvin Klein will debut an ad so provocative that it only lasts 30 seconds.
